DWTC WORKS WITH PARTNERS TO WIDEN REACH OF CAREERS UAE

CAMPAIGN DESIGNED TO TARGET STUDENTS AND EMPLOYERS ALIKE

Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) organisers of Careers UAE 2005, the country’s most comprehensive careers and employment opportunities fair for nationals, has joined hands with partners TANMIA – National Human Resources Development and Employment Authority, Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT), Zayed University (ZU) and UAE University in a nationwide campaign designed to more effectively reach the vast pool of emerging Emirati talent and put them in touch with prospective employers.

Careers UAE, which is acknowledged as the most recognised platform which presents the cream of young national talent a wide array of career choices, thanks to the large number of public and private sector companies participating, will take place at the Sheikh Rashid Hall of the DWTC from May 16th to 18th this year.

DWTC, in tandem with their partners, have launched a multi-faceted publicity campaign in order to widen the reach of the fair and to be able to attract more prospective employers and employees alike. The primary objective of this campaign is to reach out to UAE nationals studying in colleges and universities throughout the country and encourage them to make the most of this event that focuses on empowerment by facilitating them to make right career choices.

The aims, objectives and benefits of Careers 2005 has already been promoted extensively at several major events where students gather, like the recent inauguration of the new campus of Dubai Men’s College, at the Zayed University Showcase job fair, and at the UAE University Career Fair.

In addition to these a nation-wide poster campaign is underway at all the leading colleges and universities, in order to reach students right in their classrooms. Apart from the above, over 2 million pre-paid Etisalat calling cards will carry the Careers UAE message targeting a wide range of students and potential visitors to the fair.

Meanwhile invitation cards are being mailed out to university and college graduates, jobseekers and HR departments of over 1,500 companies from the organisers’ vast database to further raise the visibility of Careers 2005.

Careers UAE has also launched a revamped website (www.careersuae.ae) that effectively reflects the theme of the exhibition and provides beneficial information and guidelines for potential visitors to the show.

Alongside the exhibition itself, there will be a full-fledged programme of informative, educational and stimulating activities for all those involved in career development and recruitment. Students, graduates, job seekers, employees, teachers and exhibitors can attend the workshops and debates covering a wide range of topics relating to career opportunities and trends in the UAE.
