UAE ARMED
FORCES TAKE PRIDE OF PLACE AT CAREERS 2005
Organisers Dubai
World Trade Centre announced that the UAE Armed Forces would again
have the strongest presence at Careers UAE, with the largest stand
among all the participating exhibitors at the region’s pre-eminent
and most representative career fair for UAE nationals, that takes
place at the Dubai World Trade Centre from May 16th to 18th.
The Armed Forces who were also the largest exhibitors at last
year’s event have reinforced their support for Careers UAE 2005 -
which is held under the patronage of HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid
Al Maktoum, UAE Minister for Finance and Industry and Deputy Ruler
of Dubai - by taking up gold sponsorship for the exhibition in
addition to their participation as the most prominent exhibitor.
The UAE Armed Forces have achieved high capabilities through
acquiring sophisticated arms, ammunition, defence equipment and
technology, as well as highly-trained personnel to protect the
country’s security, stability and achievements and their
participation at Careers UAE 2005 reiterates their commitment to
society and the country.
The Armed Forces plan to continue to equip themselves not just
with the latest equipment and arms but also suitably qualified
candidates, which explains their continuing interest in a platform
like Careers UAE which is renowned for bringing the cream of young
national talent together under one roof. The Forces’ participation
at Careers forms part of their strategy to attract young nationals
to a rewarding career in the armed forces that also allows them to
simultaenously serve their country.
Careers UAE 2005 has received strong participation from different
sectors of the industry including banks, insurance and IT
companies, companies involved in the tourism industry, airlines,
media organisations, government and semi-government bodies as well
as a wide range of private sector organisations. many of whom have
used Careers as a base to recruit qualified UAE nationals in the
past.
The event provides job opportunities for professionally qualified
UAE nationals and effectively creates an exceptional niche for
itself by playing a central role in the country’s Emiratisation
drive.
The event is organised in conjunction with the Higher Colleges of
Technology (HCT), The National Human Resource Development and
Employment Authority (TANMIA), Zayed University and UAE
University.
Alongside the exhibition itself, there will be a full program of
forums, presentations, discussion groups and industry panels,
giving the exhibitors more opportunities to target their message
to visiting students, graduates and prospective jobseekers.
