CAREERS UAE SET TO OPEN NEW DOORS FOR NATIONAL TALENT

REGION’S PREMIER CAREER AND RECRUITMENT PLATFORM DRAWS INCREASED INTEREST ACROSS ALL SECTORS

Careers UAE, the largest and most comprehensive training, education, recruitment and employment platform for the cream of local talent in the region, is attracting increased interest from across all sectors announced organiser Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC).

The annual event that puts major employers and training specialists in the region in touch with the best Emirati talent in the market, will be held from 23 to 25 April at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, UAE Minister of Finance and Industry and Chairman of DWTC.

With the increased importance being paid to Emiratisation across all sectors of commerce and industry, events like Careers UAE take on an increased significance. This is reflected in the surge in interest from private sector corporates who form 42 per cent of the exhibitors at Careers UAE 2006. Representation from the government and semi-government companies remains strong with these sectors together making up 58 per cent of the exhibitors.

“Improving Emiratisation rates in key sectors is one of the prime methods of making a significant contribution towards the UAE economy. Careers UAE also continues to provide genuine opportunities for training and education in terms of career development as well as highlighting job opportunities” said Helal Saeed Al Marri, Director General, DWTC.

Careers UAE has again joined hands with leading educational institutions in the country to further spur the growing partnership between education and industry and boost the spread of Emiratisation in key sectors of the economy.

Ongoing cooperation between the exhibition and partners The National Human Resource Development & Employment Authority (Tanmia), Higher Colleges of Technology, Zayed University and UAE University, will better facilitate the flow of the best local talent graduating from the universities and higher institutions to the right slots in both the public and private sector.

Careers UAE 2006, which is expected to attract more than 15,000 visitors this year, has received extensive support from more than 140 participating companies, including: Dubai Aluminium Company (Dubal) as Platinum Sponsor, HSBC and Standard Chartered Bank as Gold Sponsors and the Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) as Silver Sponsor.

Alongside the exhibition, there will be a comprehensive programme of informative, educational and stimulating activities for all those involved in career development and recruitment. Students, graduates, job seekers, employees, teachers, training and HR managers and exhibitors can attend the workshops and debates covering a wide range of topics relating to career opportunities and job trends in the UAE.
